According to Beijing Transportation Operation Command Center (TOCC), there will be high traffic pressure during peak hours on Tuesday (October 29) and Friday (November 1) evenings. 

There will be a basketball game at the Capital Indoor Stadium on Tuesday evening, a football game at Beijing Workers Stadium on Saturday afternoon, a concert at the Olympic Sports Center Gymnasium on Friday evening, a concert at Huaxi LIVE Wukesong on Friday and Saturday evenings, and a concert at the Century Theater on Sunday evening. When audience enter and leave the involved venues during peak hours, surrounding roads are prone to short-term traffic congestion. It is advised to take public transportation to watch these games and performances.

A large number of tourists are expected to appreciate red leaves during the peak days of the Fragrant Hills Red Leaf Festival on November 2 (Saturday) and 3 (Sunday). Beijing Public Transport has launched the Special Tour Line 26 (通游专线26) from Xiyuan to Fragrant Hills, covering the Summer Palace, Fragrant Hills, and other attractions during weekends and holidays, to make it easier for locals and tourists to travel to Fragrant Hills during the festival. It is advised that you properly plan your trips, visit the park during off-peak hours, and take public transportation to Fragrant Hills if possible. Xijiao Line of Beijing Subway is highly recommended.

The "2024 Colorful Beijing Autumn Red Leaves Touring Season" event series have been officially launched in addition to the Fragrant Hills Red Leaf Festival. Picturesque locations like Pofengling, Badaling National Forest Park, Beijing WTown, Mount Miaofeng, Jinhai Lake, and Beijing Expo Park have entered their prime time this year for viewing the vibrant leaves. On weekends, the passenger flows at the above attractions will reach their peaks, and short-term congestion and queues are likely to occur on surrounding roads as well as entrances and exits of parking lots. Beijing-Lhasa Expressway, Beijing-Chongli Expressway, Beijing-Chengde Expressway, Beijing-Hong Kong-Macau Expressway, Beijing-Pinggu Expressway and other expressways to these suburban places will see heavy traffic in the directions out of Beijing and into Beijing from 10:00 to 12:00 and 15:00 to 17:00. Please make proper travel plans in advance.

On November 3 (Sunday), the 2024 Beike Beijing Marathon is planned to start at Tian'anmen Square and end at Beijing Olympic Park's Landscape Avenue. Please pay attention to the temporary traffic control and public transportation operation adjustment information released by relevant authorities in a timely manner, and make travel arrangements in advance.
