1. To avoid being charged more than once, please refrain from using another payment method after paying through "Management of Violations" or "Payment of Fines" on the Jiaoguan 12123 app.

2. For traffic violations occurring in other provinces, autonomous regions, or cities, registered 12123 app users may use the app directly (by automatically entering the local platform where the traffic violation occurred). Because of the time required to process violations on local platforms, users are thanked in advance for their patience and asked not to repeat fine payments through other methods while they wait. Please see the Online Processing Progress column on the 12123 app to check the processing status of traffic violations occurring in other regions.

3. Driver's license demerit points may not update immediately on the 12123 app due to network data transmission delays. If you have already been to the traffic violation processing window, please refrain from using the 12123 app for a period of time to avoid having excess points deducted from your license, which could result in your license’s becoming invalid.

4. In the event a fine payment is unsuccessful, please check "Online Processing Progress" on the 12123 app for an explanation. For fine payments initiated with a bank card, the process can be continued through "Online Processing Progress" following a delay of 20 minutes. For fine payments initiated through Alipay, the process can be continued through WeChat.

5. To receive a Notice of Penalty, please visit the nearest traffic police or brigade law enforcement station with your driver's license. Payment receipts can be printed at the nearest bank outlet with your driver's license (for payments processed with a bank card, please visit a local Industrial and Commercial Bank of China branch; for payments processed through WeChat or Alipay, please visit a local China Everbright Bank branch).

6. For those wishing to contest a traffic violation, applications for the removal of a traffic violation can be made online through "Management of Violations" on the 12123 app, or at traffic management authority law enforcement windows.

7. Please use the "Feedback" option on the 12123 app "Service Center" to report traffic violations that continue to show a status of "Unprocessed" or "Unpaid" following payment and await a response from the traffic management authorities, who will rectify the situation promptly.

8. The "Payment of Fines" option on the 12123 app allows for self-service payment of traffic violation fines determined by traffic police on-site or an off-site traffic violation that has already been processed.
