Since Frost's Descent (the 18th solar term of the traditional Chinese calendar), late autumn has taken hold in the Beijing Municipal Administrative Center (BMC), where several scenic spots are now displaying the season's colors.

Opposite the Beijing Library, rows of maple trees line the road. Sunlight brings out the vivid colors of their leaves, and when the wind blows, waves of red ripple through the branches, creating a quintessential autumn scene.

Along Red Leaf Avenue in Central Green Forest Park, leaves of nearly 600 Freeman maples began changing color in mid-October. From October 17 to November 1, the park's southeastern section is hosting its inaugural Autumn Foliage Avenue Art Open Week (彩叶大道艺术开放周). Visitors can park in Parking Lot P3 or take Bus Routes 810, 317, or T26 to get there.

A large reed bed stretches along the eastern branch of the Yudai River, making it a favorite subject for photography enthusiasts. A small garden north of Parking Lot P6 has added a display of multi-flowered chrysanthemums this year, offering another lovely spot to explore and photograph.
