On July 23, the "Watch Films, Love Life—2025 Beijing Midsummer Film Carnival" was officially launched in Beijing.

At the launch ceremony, the "2025 Public Welfare Movie Screenings for Summer Vacation and National Day Holiday in Beijing" was announced. The city is planning to carry out a series of measures to benefit moviegoers during this year's summer and National Day holiday period.

To further boost market vitality, Beijing has allocated CNY 10 million of public benefit subsidies to distribute movie discount coupons via Maoyan. These limited daily offers include:

1. An instant CNY-30 discount when purchasing a ticket for any screening before 9:30 at any cinema in Beijing;

2. An instant CNY-20 discount for any screening at any cinema (all day);

3. An instant CNY-20 discount per ticket when purchasing no less than three tickets for prime-time screenings (from 14:00 to 21:00);

4. Special films: Tickets are available from just CNY 19.9, with discounts of CNY 2-60 per ticket.

During this film carnival, Beijing will launch the "Ticket Stub Economy 2.0" campaign in 30 business districts across the city, allowing customers to enjoy combined benefits of different business formats by presenting their movie ticket stubs.

Haidian District will establish a "film consumption league" to expand new scenarios of "film + parent-child" and "film + sports", while organizing outdoor movie screenings and themed market activities.

Tongzhou District is working with cinemas as well as businesses from other sectors including catering, to launch over 300 "Ticket Stub Economy" discount campaigns. In the future, the district will further empower consumption through films, open more than 400 screening venues across the district, and host 14,000 public film screenings annually. This summer, over 20 coordinated cinema consumption events and light-themed summer camps will benefit around 700,000 participations.
