During the recent Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day holidays, the mountains of Labagoumen Manchu Township in Huairou District, often referred to as Beijing's "Arctic Township," began their spectacular transformation into a forest of redness. Currently, the White Birch Forest Scenic Area showcases over 50% of its leaves in vibrant red shades, while approximately 40% of the leaves have changed colors in the mountains of Huairou District's northern part.

Amid the holidays, frost landed on the northern mountainous regions of Beijing, noticeably changing the leaves' color and enhancing the viewing experience for tourists and photography enthusiasts eager to capture the autumn beauty.

Distinguished from other mountainous regions, the White Birch Forest Scenic Area in Huairou District, positioned at a higher altitude, currently flaunts a more extensive transition of leaves to red, offering an especially gorgeous scenery.

Also recognized as Beijing Labagou Virgin Forest Park, the White Birch Forest Scenic Area, with elevations ranging from 700 to 1,700 meters, is celebrated for its expansive maple forests. Predominantly featuring the vibrant acer monoes, the area becomes particularly luminous when leaves adopt their autumnal hues.

This year, the scenic area is anticipated to reach its foliage-viewing peak in mid-October. Due to the expected influx of leaf-peeping tourists, staggered travel times are suggested to ensure a serene and enjoyable visit.
