On September 6, the 2023 Beijing "Dual Olympic City Art Week" (hereinafter referred to as the "Art Week") kicked off with the opening ceremony held at the China Millennium Monument, marking the full commencement of a series of events of the Art Week, which are centered around the theme "Dual Olympic City: The Beauty of Art". During the opening ceremony, five main thematic events were announced, including one art-themed exhibition, two special exhibitions featuring photography and design, seven "Tour Routes in Dual Olympic City", 105 artistic performances, and 134 mass cultural activities.

The "One World, One Family: Thematic Exhibition for Dual Olympic City Art Week" opened on September 5 and will last until September 20 at the China Millennium Monument. This thematic exhibition encompasses nearly 100 paintings, prints, and sculptures created by artists from more than 30 countries around the world. Two special exhibitions, namely the "Charm of Ice and Snow: Design and Cultural Creative Works Exhibition" and the "Charm of Ice and Snow: Exhibition Dedicated to Cultural Images of Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics", are being held at the National Speed Skating Oval (The Ice Ribbon) in Beijing and the National Biathlon Center in Zhangjiakou respectively.
