On October 16, the 2026 Velosolutions UCI Pump Track World Championships Finals kicked off at the Mentougou BMX Public Sports Base in Beijing. This marks the event's first appearance in Asia since its inception in 2019, drawing 95 top riders from 29 countries and regions to compete in this year's championships.

This year's event features two major categories: Men's Elite and Women's Elite. The newly opened professional pump track is 275 meters long and features split lines, continuous rollers, and high, steep berms. Its iconic structure, the "Great Wall Tower", is the tallest and steepest pump track feature Velosolutions has ever built.

Off the track, a variety of cultural performances were staged, with dynamic bands taking turns to perform. A specialty market featured over 30 exhibitors, and interactive balance-bike activities on a professional pump track had also been set up. At the same time, a city cultural experience day was specially arranged for international riders. American rider Olivia Armstrong gave high praise: "This is the best pump track I've ever ridden. It's cleverly designed and incredibly smooth to ride. Exploring nearby attractions between races and getting a taste of local life in China made the trip truly special."

China Pump Track Series Beijing Mentougou & Finals are also scheduled to take place later this month.
