The 2026 "The Temple of Earth and Me" Beijing Book Fair will run from September 17 to 27 across three venues: the Temple of Earth Park, the Beijing Books Building and Wangfujing Bookstore.

Covering a total area of over 20,000 square meters, this year's fair sets new records in exhibition space and the number of stalls. Book booths account for more than 80 percent of all booths, offering more than 600,000 titles across a wide range of genres.

The upcoming book fair will have nine themed zones, respectively for themed publications, selected titles from renowned publishing houses, old books, featured bookstores, original non-Chinese books, family reading, discounted books, reading and cultural activities, and creative products and lifestyle experiences. Two dedicated activity zones will host more than 150 sessions of cultural activities over the 11 days.

Book vouchers will be available during the fair in both electronic and paper formats. Each registered mobile phone number can claim two 80-yuan coupon packs per day.

There will also be exhibitions featuring works by Fyodor Dostoevsky, Agatha Christie, Keigo Higashino, Eileen Chang, Sanmao and Virginia Woolf. In addition, the annual collector's edition of The Temple of Earth and Me (我与地坛) and the graphic-novel adaptation of Autumn Remembrance (秋天的怀念) (both are works of Shi Tiesheng, a renowned essayist) will be introduced.

The expanded original non-Chinese book zone will offer around 8,000 titles, including children's books, literary works, social science publications and art albums, among others. A great number of new releases will debut at the fair. Two leading international publishing houses, Walker Books and Macmillan Publishers, will participate in the book fair. Books in languages other than English will also be available.
