The 2026 Beijing Chaoyang International Light Festival's Consumption Season is lighting up Beijing from September 11 to October 11. This year's program has been upgraded: limited-time light installations will launch on September 24, alongside events such as the Beijing Chaoyang International Craft Beer Festival and the Kidumart Breadfest.

This year, the Liangma River Cultural and Economic Belt and the Olympic Center are the core venues, with the Grand Wangjing Business District, Chaowai UIC Block, Sanlitun commercial area, the CBD, Gaobeidian and other areas hosting related events. The Liangma River Cultural and Economic Belt will launch its first nighttime walking tour, with Chaoyang Park transformed into an immersive theater. Chinese and international artists will perform, classic installations will be refreshed, and brand-new light shows and a series of first-ever outdoor performances will be unveiled.

During the Festival's Consumption Season, Chaoyang District will host over a hundred cultural, commercial, tourist, and sports events and exhibitions, including the China Open, the Take A Bite International Carbohydrate Festival, the anniversary celebration of the Weibo IN Interdimensional Gravitational Zone, as well as exhibitions featuring car models like the Tesla Cybertruck, as well as the Optimus robot.

As the curtain-raiser for the Consumption Season, the Beijing Chaoyang International Craft Beer Festival runs from September 10 to 13 at Wanren Square of Chaoyang Park. The event brings together nearly a hundred top-tier craft breweries from China and abroad, with a range of debut craft brews and signature products. Hamburgers, barbecue, and other foods will be on offer there, complemented by a boundary-free dance floor, a Beer Games event, an "Inspiration Market" and many other activities, making for an immersive evening leisure experience.

Running in parallel, the Kidumart Breadfest has also been refined. The venue has been expanded by 4,000 square meters, and stretches from Chaoyang Park's Fireworks Square to the lawn area near the South Gate, where assorted lifestyle and cultural-creative brands can be found, complemented by daily live performances from independent music labels. The festival now spans two consecutive weekends, each featuring its own star merchants and limited-edition signature products.

Transportation Guide

By subway: Take Subway Line 14 and exit from Exit A at Zaoying Station. Walk to the West Gate or West Gate No.3 of Chaoyang Park to reach the Wanren Square and the Fireworks Square.

Alternatively, alight at Chaoyang Park Station and come out from Exit B, then walk from the South Gate of the park to the Fireworks Square.

By bus: Take bus routes 973, 675, 302, etc., and alight at the Chaoyang Park South Gate stop (朝阳公园南门).

By car: Please navigate to the parking lot at East Gate No.5 of Chaoyang Park. Since parking spaces around the venue might be limited during the event, public transportation is recommended.
