
The 2026 Beijing Culture Forum will be held in Beijing from September 22 to 23, 2026. The forum is co-hosted by the Publicity Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC), the CPC Beijing Municipal Committee, and the People's Government of Beijing Municipality.
The Beijing Culture Forum has adopted the permanent theme of "Inheritance, Creativity, Mutual Learning". This year's forum will focus on "Cultural Heritage and Mutual Learning among Civilizations". Designed as a national-level, international, and academic event, the forum will bring together distinguished guests from around the world for in-depth discussions and exchanges to deepen international cooperation and build global consensus. It will serve as an important window for understanding Chinese culture, a key platform for advancing the Global Civilization Initiative, and a vital channel for promoting international cultural exchanges and cooperation.
This year's forum will comprise a main forum, five parallel forums, six specialized salons, and the regular events at the Beijing Culture Forum Salon. Guests from around the world will engage in in-depth discussions on topics such as the systematic protection of cultural heritage, international cooperation in heritage preservation, the preservation of ancient capitals amid urbanization, cultural heritage and artistic creation, and youth participation in the preservation and inheritance of cultural heritage.
The forum is expected to welcome around 600 distinguished guests from around the world, including renowned experts and scholars, representatives of leading international cultural institutions and enterprises, prominent cultural figures, and industry leaders. In addition, it will feature a special event to announce major achievements, as well as supporting events such as the Conference of Cultural Sector Investors.
