In the first half of 2026, the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region recorded total imports and exports of 2.58 trillion yuan, up 16.2 percent year on year and accounting for 10.1 percent of the country's total foreign trade. Specifically, the region's exports stood at 770.06 billion yuan, up 11.8 percent, while imports reached 1.81 trillion yuan, rising 18.1 percent.
Since the beginning of this year, the region's imports and exports have maintained year-on-year growth for six consecutive months. In June alone, exports rose 14.2 percent year on year to 140.13 billion yuan, marking the first time monthly exports have surpassed the 140-billion-yuan threshold. Imports climbed 29.4 percent to 348.84 billion yuan, setting a new monthly record high.
Trade between the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region and Belt and Road partner countries reached 1.37 trillion yuan, up 5.8 percent year-on-year. Exports of electromechanical products reached 458.32 billion yuan, growing 17.4 percent and accounting for 59.5 percent of the region's total exports during the period.
