The events of the 38th Hundred Flowers Awards will run in Beijing from August 7 to 10. Jointly hosted by the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles, the People's Government of Beijing Municipality, and the China Film Association, the Hundred Flowers Awards are China's only film awards decided entirely by audience votes.

Themed "Hundred Flowers Return to Beijing - Splendor Across the Capital" (百花燕归 万象京华), this year's events will include a wide range of film-related and cultural events: the opening ceremony, a film symphony concert paired with charity performances by film workers for grassroots communities, the Hundred Flowers Film Forum, the nominees' award ceremony, the Hundred Flowers Night, the welcoming ceremony for film artists, and the awards ceremony. Beijing will also launch several supporting events integrating culture, commerce, tourism, sports, and exhibitions to create an immersive, citywide experience.

This year's Hundred Flowers Film Forum will introduce the "Audience Open Mic" (观众开放麦) segment, inviting several public viewers to share their views on stage. The Hundred Flowers Film Festival will bring outdoor screenings to 13 commercial cinemas and 10 business districts across the city. Classic Hundred Flowers award-winning films will be screened nightly at locations including Longfu Temple, Solana, Galleria (凤凰汇购物中心), the Locomotive Square of the 798 Art Zone, Hall 12 of Shougang Park, MixC Tongzhou, Wanli, and the west bank of the Grand Canal. Solana, Longfu Temple, and the 798 Art Zone will also host late-night screenings, where filmmakers and cast members will, as "Hundred Flowers Summer Film Recommenders", meet audiences in person. More than 3,000 public welfare screening locations across Beijing will present the award-winning films as well.

Building on the awards' strong public roots and brand appeal, Beijing will roll out supporting events under the theme "A City in Bloom with the Hundred Flowers" (京彩百花,全城绽放), enhancing signature campaigns such as "Travel with Films" (跟着电影去旅游), "Taste Through Films" (跟着电影品美食) and "Explore Markets Through Films" (跟着电影逛市集) to integrate film culture into everyday life in the city.

During the events, Beijing will also hold the "Hundred Flowers Public Film Week". As part of the city's summer film-going campaign, this will provide a total of 20 million yuan in ticket subsidies.
