Recently, the Beijing Municipal Commission of Economy and Information Technology publicized the list of the third batch of "Incubation Platforms for Future Industries in Beijing", with seven platforms across the city selected. Dedicated to the pioneering fields of metaverse, Shougang Park has obtained this official accreditation thanks to its solid industrial foundation, sound innovation ecosystem and forward-looking strategic layout, securing its place among Beijing's key incubation hubs for the future information industry.

Drawing on its unique spatial strengths derived from the "revitalization of legacy industrial sites", Shougang Park targets cutting-edge sectors including sci-fi and the metaverse, building a distinctive and coordinated micro-ecosystem for digital industries. As of now, the park has a core industrial agglomeration rate of 75.4%, covering a complete industry chain that includes content creation, communications and computing power, display and interaction, platform tools and scenario-based applications. Having previously been named a model metaverse park by China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, it has evolved into a pivotal hub for the integrated development of future digital industries in Beijing.

To precisely address the needs of enterprises throughout their entire lifecycles, the park has established a three-tier progressive incubation system covering startup cultivation, growth acceleration and quality improvement. In terms of industry-academia-research collaboration, the park has maintained close partnerships with multiple universities, introduced two municipal key laboratories and built 10 industrial generic technology platforms to form a complete chain spanning basic research, technological breakthroughs, commercialization of research results, and market application. When it comes to scenario verification, the park has launched benchmark demonstration venues including the Blast Furnace No.1 SoReal Sci-Fi Park, the Blast Furnace No. 3 Digital Museum and China's first robotics 4S store, enabling cutting-edge technologies to be deployed, verified and experienced firsthand. For capital empowerment, the park manages the country's first equity investment fund dedicated to the sci-fi industry, with a total fund size of 300 million yuan.

Fueled by its well-established incubation system, the park has cultivated six national "little giant" enterprises and 19 municipal specialized, high-end and innovation-driven SMEs that provide distinctive products or services to date. Many resident enterprises take an active part in formulating China's national industrial standards, steadily enhancing Shougang Park's core position as a premier innovation hub for the future information industry.
