The 10th NCPA International Opera Film Exhibition will run from June 6 to November 30, bringing together 25 international art organizations from 14 countries. Screenings will take place in cinemas, theaters, and universities both in China and abroad. The opening film, "Rodgers & Hammerstein's 80th Anniversary Concert", will be screened at the Beijing Performing Arts Center on June 6.

This year's exhibition features 22 high-quality films in five thematic units, covering six genres: opera, musical, dance drama, spoken drama, documentary, and traditional Chinese opera. Highlights include "Romeo and Juliet" and "The Flying Dutchman" produced and distributed by the National Center for the Performing Arts (NCPA), "The Magic Flute" and "La Fille mal Gardée" from the UK's Royal Ballet and Opera, "The Count of Monte Cristo" from the Moscow Operetta Theater, the 8K panoramic Peking Opera film "The Unicorn Purse", and "La Bohème" (a masterpiece of Giacomo Puccini) by Spain's Teatro Real. The selection balances tradition, innovation, and diversity.

The event will unfold in three phases.

From June 6 to August 31, screenings will be held simultaneously in cinemas across more than 40 cities in China. Audiences can book tickets for 16 films via any of the following platforms: China Film Pass (中影电影通), Maoyan (猫眼), Taopiaopiao (淘票票), Broadway Cinemas (百老汇影城), or Rtime Films (儒意电影) via both their apps and mini-programs.

From June 6 to November 30, 25 special screenings will be presented at the NCPA, the Beijing Performing Arts Center, and Taihu Stage Art Center. In addition, "Opera Film Screening Weeks" (歌剧电影展映周) will be launched in key regions including Xiong'an New Area, the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, the Yangtze River Delta, the Pearl River Delta, and the Greater Bay Area, accompanied by guided appreciation sessions, public lectures, and masterclasses.

From September 1 to November 30, free screenings and art-themed exchanges will be organized at over 20 universities across the country, with a focus on the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, Xizang, and Xinjiang.
