The 11th Spring Crabapple Culture Festival is being held at Taoranting Park, running from March 28 to April 26. The event features over 500 premium potted crabapple displays representing more than 20 varieties, alongside some 3,000 landscaped crabapple trees of over 30 varieties across the park. Traditional Chinese landscaping techniques have been employed to create a poetic garden setting. Visitors can enjoy more than 10 interactive activities across six categories.

A landscape installation titled "Crabapples Reflecting on the Screen Wall" has been unveiled in the square near the park's east gate. Scenic attractions titled "Swaying Flower Shadows" and "Fascinating Spring in Taoran" have been arranged in the square opposite the east dock and near the Taoran Memorial Archway, respectively. In the premium bonsai exhibition area in the central square, more than 500 exquisite potted crabapple displays are presented on traditional bogu-style display racks under the themes of Poetry, Wine, Flowers, and Tea.

The park also offers a wide range of interactive experiences. In front of the Jiajing Memorial Archway, visitors can enjoy cultural performances including magic shows, acrobatics, and shuanghuang (a traditional two-person comic performance). In front of the Popular Science Cabin, the "Intangible Cultural Heritage in Taoran" themed fair features a handicraft zone showcasing traditional crafts such as cloisonné and carved lacquerware.

In addition, the Chinese Painting Exhibition titled "Beijing Charm in Full Splendor — Paintings by Ma Haifang" is currently on display at the Saran Pavilion. The park will also host themed events for the Qingming Poetry Festival and World Book Day in succession.

During the crabapple festival, admission is 10 yuan per person. Annual passes, seasonal passes, monthly passes, and senior cards remain valid as usual.

In addition to enjoying the splendid crabapple scenery in Taoranting Park, tourists may also explore several free crabapple viewing spots across Xicheng District for spring outings closer to home.
