On April 9, the event "Envoys at the Forbidden City 2026: A Blooming Past and Inked Memories" was held at the Palace Museum. The Palace Museum, the Beijing Diplomatic Service, and China Photo Service co-hosted. Around 30 diplomatic envoys to China from countries including Armenia, Latvia, Chile, Mauritius, and New Zealand attended the event.

Centered on the theme "A Blooming Past and Inked Memories" and using spring as a bond and art as a bridge to friendship, the event showcased the contemporary vitality of fine traditional Chinese culture through diverse forms such as photography fieldwork, appreciation of ancient paintings, and calligraphy and painting practice sessions.

Vahe Gevorgyan, Armenian ambassador to China, said in his speech that the Palace Museum serves as a link between China and the world, and many foreigners begin their journey to understand Chinese civilization by visiting this site. He added that each visit reveals new stories, and the profound cultural heritage it carries is truly admirable.
First launched in 2012, the event "Envoys at the Forbidden City" has been held for more than ten consecutive editions, and it has become an important cultural outreach program of the Palace Museum for diplomatic envoys in China.
