This weekend, crabapple blossoms in Beijing are reaching their peak! Enjoy the breathtaking sea of flowers during the Qingming Festival holiday.
Yuan Dynasty City Wall Relics Park

This year, the Crabapple Blossom Festival began on April 2. The early flowering period is from late March to early April, and the best viewing period begins around the Qingming Festival.

After taking photos by Haitang Huaxi (literally meaning "a stream with crabapple flowers"), a few minutes' walk will take you to Beitou Olympic 1314, which is hosting its 2nd Aonan Lifestyle Festival (奥南生活节) running until April 12. Throughout the Qingming holiday, visitors can enjoy seven free public handicraft activities featuring intangible cultural heritage items like maohou, Songjin windbells, and plant dyeing.

China National Botanical Garden (North Garden)

The Crabapple Garden in the North Garden boasts the most diverse collection of crabapples in China, with over 90 varieties set to bloom in succession.

In addition to flower viewing, visitors can immerse themselves in nature. The garden has recently upgraded its low-temperature greenhouse with over 10,000 square meters of exhibition space, and has launched the grand exhibition "The Amazing Encounters of Plants and Animals".

Various themed markets and new souvenirs are also available on-site. The "Poetic Spring" cultural market offers plant-related cultural products, fresh flowers, and greenery, catering to diverse visitor needs.

Taoranting Park

The 11th Taoranting Park Crabapple Spring Flower Culture Festival is underway, with nearly 15,000 square meters of ground-planted crabapple trees gradually entering full bloom.

The park also offers over 10 cultural events in six major categories.
The "Spring Taoran" (春日陶然) and "Intangible Cultural Heritage Taoran" (非遗陶然) markets bring together specialty foods, traditional crafts, and crabapple-themed creative products.
After visiting the park, you may take a detour to Daji Xiang. In this courtyard-style block, coffee shops, cultural relic exhibitions, diverse dining options, and artist stores come together to showcase a charming fusion of ancient and modern styles.

Zhongshan Park

In April, the crabapple flowers in the park are absolutely magnificent, with the Crabapple Road being one of the best spots to admire them. After taking in the gorgeous scenery, a short walk will bring you to Xidan, Beijing's top commercial hub. From Joy City Xidan to The New, trendy boutiques, cosmetics counters, and interesting souvenir shops offer endless shopping opportunities. Every photo looks like a fashion shoot.

Crabapple Blossom Creek at Wangjing

In early April, the banks of the Wangjing River are lined with lush, blooming crabapple trees. The branches with delicate pink blossoms sway gently in the breeze and are reflected on the river's surface like an oil painting.

The Wangjing commercial area offers new shopping experiences with traditional Chinese-style markets, flower deity parades, exclusive limited-edition gifts, and high-value perks — all in one place to promise a delightful springtime visit.
Beijing Expo Park

In mid-to-late April, the Beijing Expo Park transforms into a stunning spring painting, with more than 5,200 crabapple trees from over 50 varieties all vying for attention.

Stroll along the scenic boulevard lined with crabapple and mock vervain flowers, and the Crabapple Avenue on the loop road, you will find colorful blooms that are utterly romantic. At Panglong Miyuan (胖龙谧园, a garden), 37 crabapple varieties cluster together, creating a unique and enchanting spectacle.
