Beijing's first multilingual after-sales service station has been established in the Silk Street business district of Chaoyang District.
The station provides comprehensive services for foreign shoppers and businesses involved in international commerce. Established under the direction of the Chaoyang District Administration for Market Regulation, it offers core services including consultation, complaint handling, and dispute mediation, all available in multiple languages. This move is part of Chaoyang's efforts to upgrade its consumer rights protection system from a local to an international one.
The launch of Beijing's first multilingual after-sales service station also marks a key step in Chaoyang's efforts to build a quality ecosystem for consumers and represents an iconic institutional innovation in Beijing's endeavor to develop itself into an international consumption hub. Moving forward, Chaoyang will leverage this service station to introduce a novel multi-stakeholder governance model that integrates "administrative mediation, industry mediation, and judicial coordination". This approach will ensure that both Chinese and foreign consumers enjoy the benefits of equitable legal protection in Chaoyang.
