Cuandixia Village was recently designated as an official filming location for the Asian Art Film Festival. A 400-year-old village in spring is simply breathtaking! Here's a weekend itinerary for you.

DAY 1: Cuandixia Village → Cuanzaoshe: Cuan Culture Themed Restaurant → Lingyue Temple → Thin Strip of Sky → Fu Courtyard - The Wealthy Merchant's Residence, Cuanshe

Cuandixia Village

Cuandixia Village is located in Mentougou District and has already been used as a filming location for many well-known movies. The ancient village features a simple yet elegant architectural style and preserves a large number of historic courtyard houses. In spring, with all kinds of flowers in bloom, Cuandixia Village looks simply gorgeous.

Cuanzaoshe: Cuan Culture Themed Restaurant

The restaurant was converted from an old courtyard and specializes in fresh, healthy country-style cuisine made with locally sourced ingredients. After your meal, you can relax in the courtyard and chat with the owner about the village's history.

Lingyue Temple

Lingyue Temple has a long history. Its buildings are well-preserved and exude an antique charm. It is open to the public free of charge from 9:00 to 16:00, Tuesday through Sunday.

Thin Strip of Sky

Thin Strip of Sky is a natural gorge located right next to Cuandixia Village. With a fissure stretching over 100 meters long, it is a classic example of a fault landscape, offering uniquely striking and picturesque views.

Fu Courtyard - The Wealthy Merchant's Residence

The Fu Courtyard - The Wealthy Merchant's Residence is a two-courtyard Siheyuan in Cuandixia Village, featuring an elegant classical design. In the courtyard's dining room, you can also sample specialty dishes such as marinated tofu and free-range eggs.

Cuanshe

Cuanshe is a guesthouse converted from a traditional Siheyuan courtyard house. It perfectly preserves its rustic charm while blending the comforts of a modern hotel with the elegance of Chinese design, resulting in an atmosphere that leaves guests reluctant to leave.

Hongliang Folk Restaurant

Located in the mountains, this restaurant is a local favorite serving home-style country cuisine. The food is delicious, reasonably priced, and offers excellent value for money.

Shuanglongxia Scenic Spot

The scenic area features rolling mountains and a vegetation coverage rate of 95 percent. It is home to two large waterfalls over 29 meters high and nearly a hundred smaller ones only a few meters tall. As spring arrives, wildflowers bloom in succession, treating hikers to a unique visual feast as they trek through the mountains.

Baihua Renjia

Located in Qingshui Town, Baihua Renjia Restaurant is a long-standing local favorite known for its authentic farmhouse cuisine. The restaurant's signature dish is "Fire Pit Stone-Ground Tofu," which combines tofu with braised fish and braised pork head. A single bite releases rich, savory flavors.
