On August 19, the 19th Beijing Arts and Crafts Exhibition opened at the China National Arts and Crafts Museum. As a regular event of the China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS), this exhibition showcases the achievements of the past 20 editions of the "Gongmei Cup" Beijing Arts and Crafts Competition, with more than 110 items on display. The exhibition highlights the "Eight Imperial Handicrafts of Beijing" — namely Jingtailan (Cloisonné), Carved Lacquer, Jade Carving, Palace Carpet, Gold Lacquer Inlaid, Filigree Inlaid Metal Art, Ivory Carving, and Beijing Embroidery — emphasizing the protection, inheritance, and development of Beijing's arts and crafts in contemporary times. The exhibition will run until October 12.

In addition to the exhibition of physical fine arts and crafts, this exhibition also presents a visual feast in the form of two digital displays: "Beijing Traditional Fine Arts and Crafts Treasures" and the "Collected Gold Award Works of the Gongmei Cup Arts and Crafts Competition 2023 – 2025". In addition, a high-definition video viewing area and an interactive check-in zone have been set up, allowing visitors to immerse themselves in the charm of traditional crafts through interactive experiences.

The "Gongmei Cup" has already been running for 20 editions to date. A total of thousands of entries have been submitted, with 40 traditional fine arts and craft treasures from Beijing and more than 300 gold medal-winning works selected.
