Ma Dwen Dwen, a special version of the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics mascot Bing Dwen Dwen, honoring the coming Year of Horse, was launched as the event's 4th anniversary special edition at the Golden Hall of the National Stadium (Bird's Nest) on November 14.

The year 2026 is the year of "Bing Wu" (丙午) in the Chinese traditional calendar, where "Wu" corresponds to horse in the Chinese zodiac. Ma Dwen Dwen presents a new artistic form that blends the beloved Bing Dwen Dwen image with the cultural symbolism of the Chinese Zodiac. Drawing inspiration from six legendary steeds — Chitu, Qingzong, Taohua, Bailong, Wuzhui, and Feihuang — the design captures the essence of China's "noble horse culture". The six Ma Dwen Dwen figurines unveiled at the event each feature distinct colors, with every color symbolizing a different auspicious meaning and embodying unique blessings.
