Beijing Adjusts Opening Hours at Multiple Attractions Starting November

Starting November 1, several museums and parks in Beijing will switch to off-season opening hours. Visitors are advised to check the attractions’ official websites, official WeChat accounts, or mini-programs in advance to plan their trips.

Attractions implementing off-season hours include (but are not limited to):

The Palace Museum

November 1 to March 31 of the following year

Opening time: 8:30

Closing time: 16:30

Last entry: 15:30

Treasure Gallery and Gallery of Clocks last entry: 15:40

National Museum of China

November 1 to May 31 of the following year

Opening time: 9:00

Closing time: 17:00

Last entry: 16:00

Closed on Mondays (except public holidays)

Summer Palace

November 1 to March 31 of the following year

Opening time: 6:30

Closing time: 19:00

Last entry: 18:00

Temple of Heaven Park 

November 1 to March 31 of the following year

Opening time: 6:30

Closing time: 22:00

Last entry: 21:00

Taoranting Park

November 1 to March 31 of the following year

Opening time: 6:00

Closing time: 21:30

Last entry: 21:00

Cibei Nunnery and the Tomb of Martyr Gao Junyu: open from 8:30 to 17:30, last entry at 17:00.

Zizhuyuan Park

November 1 to March 31 of the following year

Opening time: 6:00

Closing time: 21:30

Last entry: 21:00

Former Site of the Mongolian and Tibetan School

From November 1 to December 31: open from 10:00 to 20:30, last entry at 20:00. Closed on Mondays.

From January 1 to March 31, 2026: open from 10:00 to 19:00, last entry at 18:30. Closed on Mondays.

Admission is free and no reservation is required; visitors may enter through the west or south gate after a security check.
