The 2025 Jingcai Lantern Show of Shijingshan Amusement Park officially commenced on August 8 and will run until October 31. Covering a total area of 350,000 square meters, the park presents 56 large-scale lantern sets and nearly 10,000 individual lanterns across seven themed zones.
At 18:00 and 20:00 every night, a grand parade sets the festivities alight. From August 19 onward, visitors can greet the Giant Beetle Mecha Convoy roaring through the park. Even more spectacular is the molten iron firework shows (an intangible cultural heritage item): skilled craftsmen fling molten iron high into the air, where it bursts into spectacular golden sparks showering down for dozens of meters around. These shows are presented beside Xingmeng Lake (星梦湖) at 20:00 and 21:00 every night, with the best viewing spot being on the Constellation Avenue (星座大道).
The "Food, Fun and Shopping Carnival" (乐享食玩购嘉年华) showcases 27 food brands. Iconic dishes include Quanjude's hot-dog-shaped duck rolls, Donglaishun's mini hotpots, and the Landmark Tower's chimney-shaped bread rolls which are popular on the Internet.
The Ferris Wheel Stage (摩天轮舞台) and Boeing Plaza (波音广场) serve as two core performance sites. Starting at 16:30, visitors can enjoy a rolling lineup of traditional Chinese folk songs, clown magic shows, and Wuqiao acrobatic shows from Hebei Province. Those who fancy hanfu (traditional Chinese attire) can join the Chinese-chic Parade at 18:00.

17:00: Enter the park and take photos of the intricate details of China-chic lantern sets before dusk.18:40: Follow the mecha parade to Boeing Plaza for the acrobatic shows.
19:30: Try Donglaishun lamb skewers at Galleria Plaza (格乐丽雅广场).
20:00: Grab the perfect spot by Xingmeng Lake for the molten-iron fireworks.
21:00: Head to the Fantasy Fairytale Zone (奇想童话区) for night portraits (the soft lighting guarantees beautiful shots).
The event will run until October 31 (closed on September 3), with evening shows from 16:30 to 22:00.
Tips for avoiding crowds: The peak hours fall between 16:30 and 19:30 on weekends. Buy e-tickets in advance via the official mini-program to avoid queuing!
Transportation Guide
Subway: Get off at Gucheng Station on Line 1, transfer to bus No. 327 or No. 941 and get off at Jingyanfandian Stop (京燕饭店站), then walk 530 meters to the south gate of the park.
Self-Driving: Set your destination as the parking lot at the south gate (石景山游乐园南门停车场) or that at the southwest gate (石景山游乐园西南门停车场) of Shijingshan Amusement Park. If they are full, head to the nearby car parks at Raycom Creative Center (融科创意中心) or Shijingshan Stadium (石景山体育场).
Nighttime Taxi: Hail taxis before the closing time at 22:00. The best pickup location is the south gate on Shijingshan Road.
