The Agreement on Mutual Visa Exemption for Holders of Ordinary Passports Between the Government of the People's Republic of China and the Government of the Republic of Azerbaijan will take effect on July 16, 2025.
According to the agreement, holders of valid Chinese and Azerbaijani ordinary passports will be allowed to enter, exit or transit via each other's country without visas. The visa-free stay period is limited to 30 days per visit, with the permitted cumulative stay period no more than 90 days within any 180-day period. Anyone who needs to stay for more than 30 days at a time, or to settle, work, study, or engage in news coverage or any other activity requiring prior authorization, must obtain a corresponding visa before entering the other country.
