Beijing's Flowers Enter Prime Viewing Season

The IX International Symposium on Rose Research and Cultivation is currently underway in Mentougou. As its main venue, Jingxi Yueji Park now presents seven themed gardens featuring Chinese and foreign styles, including Beijing, Zhengzhou, Nanyang gardens, as well as four international gardens showcasing the elements of Italy, France, the United States, and Japan. Visitors to the park are treated to a spectacular sea of roses.

The time when Chinese roses (one of Beijing's city flowers) bloom in vast numbers marks the city's most enchanting time of early summer. Please go to a stunning Chinese rose garden in the city to experience this annual floral romance!

Rose Garden at Zone 3 of Sanlihe Community

Take Subway Line 1 and get off at Muxidi Station, and walk 300 meters from Exit B1 to the Rose Garden of Zone 3 of Sanlihe Community, which is located south of Courtyard 1, Sanlihe South 7 Alley. The garden features a great variety of Chinese roses in a rich array of colors, spanning over 2,000 square meters.

China National Botanical Garden

The core area of the Chinese Rose Garden in the North Park of the China National Botanical Garden enters its peak blooming period in May, featuring varieties such as tree roses, miniature roses, and floribunda roses. The South Park's lush and tall Chinese rose trees, paired with sculptures, create a captivating atmosphere.

Every May the first batch of Chinese roses in the Temple of Heaven Park comes into full bloom. A wide variety of Chinese roses in vibrant colors burst into bloom, appearing even more charming and colorful against the verdant backdrop of ancient cypress groves.

Upon entering Taoranting Park, visitors will see more than 600 Chinese rose plants in over 20 varieties, all showcasing their gorgeous hues. These colorful and eye-catching blossoms form a vibrant vibe of early summer in Beijing.

World Chinese Rose Theme Park

The World Chinese Rose Theme Park spans 658 mu (about 0.4387 square kilometers), featuring nearly 70,000 Chinese rose plants of over 1,700 varieties. It is one of the largest specialized rose gardens in northern China.

Miyun Rose Love Garden

Miyun Rose Love Garden, nestled in the mountains, sees its 1,000 mu (about 0.67 square kilometers) of roses (including Chinese roses) enter their prime viewing period from mid-May, filling the air there with fragrance. Visitors on the mountain tops nearby will be greeted with a panoramic view of the vast floral sea.

 Besides the floral views, the scenic area has tasty offers like traditional sugar paintings (of which the making technique is an intangible cultural heritage item), and barbecue at Internet-famous stands. There are also recreational offers like a neon-lit market, ring-tossing games familiar to those who used to be kids, and sky-high bungee jumping experiences to keep the fun going on all day!
