Located at the foothills of Tianshou Mountain in Changping District, Beijing, the Ming Tombs serve as the burial site for 13 emperors of the Ming Dynasty. The complex contains the tombs of 13 emperors, 23 empresses, and one imperial noble consort. It was inscribed on the World Heritage List in 2003.
