Today (April 19), the world's first humanoid robot half marathon competition kicked off in Yizhuang, Beijing. This event drew 20 robot teams from Beijing, Shanghai, Jiangsu, Guangdong, and other regions, including Team Tiangong, Tsinghua General AI Program, Little Giant, and Little Rascal. At 10:11 this morning, Tiangong Ultra crossed the finish line and claimed the championship, completing the race in approximately two hours, 40 minutes, and 42 seconds.

Standing about 1.8 meters tall and weighing around 55 kilograms, Tiangong Ultra has made impressive strides this year. Its top speed has doubled from six km/h to a peak speed of 12 km/h. Moreover, it is now smarter than ever by incorporating "Huisikaiwu," a general-purpose embodied intelligence platform that enables one brain to power multiple functions and even multiple robots.

"To achieve excellent results in this marathon, we tackled hardware challenges such as body stability, lightweight design, and heat dissipation during prolonged joint operation. We also optimized our motion control algorithms to further enhance joint coordination, gait stability, and the ability to navigate complex terrains. During the race, Tiangong Ultra maintained a pace of seven to eight km/h," a spokesperson from Tiangong Team said.
