As the Qingming Festival holiday (April 4 to 6) approaches, Beijing is launching a variety of exciting events. This holiday, let's discover the beauty of blooming flowers, take a stroll in nature, and savor the wonderful springtime together!
Beijing WTown: Floating Lanterns for Blessings
During the holiday, Beijing Wtown will offer 6,400 river lanterns for visitors to make wishes. Numerous performances will take place at different locations in the scenic area, so that visitors can enjoy the spring scenery while marveling at the charm of the traditional Chinese culture.
Tips: River lanterns will be distributed mainly at the Visitor Center, Riyuedao Square (日月岛广场), and Matou Inn (码头客栈), among other locations. Lanterns can be obtained from 15:00 to 20:00, and may be released after 18:00.
Wanna get a photo of you pushing a lantern-carrying paper boat? Don't forget to dress yourself in traditional hanfu (traditional clothing of the Han ethnic group) to make your photos stand out!
5th Ming Culture Festival at Ming Tombs
The 5th Ming Culture Festival features activities such as the Changling Sacrifice Ceremony, a competition and fashion show featuring hanfu of the Ming Dynasty, and more. These will held at the Sacred Way (神路), Dingling (定陵), Changling (长陵) and many other locations.

22nd IJOY Beijing International Animation and Game Carnival
With a massive space covering more than 20,000 square meters, the carnival will comprise a grand anime-themed music and dance fest on five major stages, casual parades of cosers (who can partake in the parades with no fee charged) of nine categories, all-day random dance relay challenge, three anime-themed electronic music festivals, more than 10 themed photo booths, and a street with more than 50 awesome themed interactive games, among other fun offers. Don't miss out!

Universal Beijing Resort's Spring Carnival
Universal Beijing Resort kicked off its Spring Carnival on March 21. Visitors can see colorful flowers, feathers and other decorations along the CityWalk leading into the theme park, making everyone feel like walking towards a springtime garden.

Beijing Happy Valley's China-Chic Cultural Festival
The 2025 China-Chic Cultural Festival at Beijing Happy Valley is themed on blue-and-white porcelain, with numerous cosplayers dressed like heroes presenting live interactive performances.
