On March 27, ten scientific and technological achievements were announced at the opening ceremony of the 2025 Zhongguancun Forum (ZGC Forum) Annual Conference.
Among the achievements announced this time, several significant breakthroughs are in the field of basic research, including the "artificial sun" sustaining a high-confinement plasma operation at a hundred million degrees Celsius and a thousand seconds; the High Energy Photon Source located at Huairou Science City emitting its first beam of light; and a transcription factor imprinting technology based on deaminase equipping researchers with "ultra-clear microscopes" to decipher the functional information of the human genome.

The newly released "Beijing's Achievements in Innovative Application of AI" showcases the city's cutting-edge innovations driven by deep empowerment of AI, spanning areas such as materials, pharmaceuticals, finance, and more. These achievements also demonstrate wide applications of AI in healthcare, lifestyle, education, retail, content creation, and other social services.
The ChainMaker steadfastly adheres to the principle of unrestricted open source, having released 21 updates with over three million lines of source code freely accessible for download; The "Tiangong Open Source Initiative" uses the Tiangong robot as a platform, offering a foundational base for embodied intelligence research to domestic universities, research institutions, and small and medium-sized startups. The "Beijing's Major Open-Source Achievements" released this time systematically showcases the matrix of Beijing's open-source accomplishments. The trend of open-source and open ecosystem has become prevalent in Beijing.
