On January 6, the 2024 List of Unicorn Enterprises in Beijing（the List for short）was unveiled. The list suggests that as of December 31, 2024, Beijing had 115 unicorn enterprises with a total valuation of USD 594.9 billion, continuing to lead the country in terms of the number and valuation of unicorns.

The List was jointly published by the Zhongguancun Unicorn Enterprise Development Alliance, along with the Greatwall Strategy Consultants, Beijing Fangdi Institute of Economic Development, China Institute for Science and Technology Policy at Tsinghua University, IT Juzi, and KPMG Advisory (China).

It is evident from the List that AI leads all other sectors with the most unicorn enterprises in Beijing (over 20 unicorns). In addition to several emerging AI companies, new entrants this year include SemiDrive (unicorn of integrated circuits), Beijing Chexiao Technology Co., Ltd. (fintech unicorn), Imunopharm Technology Co., Ltd. (pharmaceutical and healthcare unicorn), and Changyang Tech and ZDATA (unicorns of next-generation information technology).
