Jinshanling Galaxy Ski Resort will officially open on November 23. The ski resort will fully open 18 professional snow slopes, each with a length of more than one kilometer. Among them, the longest intermediate slope is up to 4.6 kilometers, featuring the highest altitude of 1,679 meters and a vertical drop of 550 meters, the second-largest drop next to the National Alpine Skiing Centre surrounding Beijing. The resort has also added a special snow park program, aiming to create a family-friendly snow and ice experience space.
In 2024, the newly opened snow tourism line has connected Beijing Station, Chengde South Station and Jinshanling International Skiing Tourist Resort, eliminating the "last kilometer" bottleneck confronting Beijing tourists traveling to Jinshanling resort.
In 2024, Jinshanling Galaxy Ski Resort has recruited more than one hundred professional ski instructors and teams to provide personalized and efficient teaching programs for ski learners with different levels and needs.
This winter, Jinshanling Galaxy Ski Resort will also host competitions such as parallel events of the FIS Snowboard such as Asia Cup and FIS Alpine Skiing Far East Cup.
