The 7th China International Import Expo (CIIE) was held from November 5 to 10 in Shanghai. At the expo, Beijing's time-honored brands were featured in a special exhibition of the People-to-People Exchange section. Taking the opportunity of the successful inscription of Beijing's Central Axis on the World Heritage List, the exhibition highlighted over 20 brands, including time-honored businesses and local state-owned enterprises from Beijing, presenting more than 100 products.

Among the highlights were the Central Axis Delicacies, Central Axis Premium Goods and Central Axis Crafts. The Central Axis Delicacies included Quanjude's "Central Axis Food Gift" customized pastry boxes combined with several signature dishes and creative cultural products, Daoxiangcun's pastries shaped like traditional buildings along the Central Axis, Bianyifang's snack gift boxes themed "Eight Great Sights of Yanjing", etc.

The Central Axis Premium Goods encompassed products like the cloisonné products from Beijing Enamel Factory, the creative cultural products made of precious metal from Caibai Jewelry, which were co-branded with landmarks such as Beihai Park and the National Centre for the Performing Arts, as well as the Central Axis-themed products from the Capital Museum. The time-honored Changchuntang (a pharmacy) presented its "Collection of Tea of 24 Solar Terms", featuring 24 unique varieties of herbal tea blending the concepts of the Chinese solar terms and health.

As part of the Central Axis Crafts, Duyichu presented to the visitors the making process of shaomai (a type of steamed dumplings), with each of its 24 pleats representing one of China's 24 solar terms. In addition, Wuyutai promoted traditional tea culture through tea ceremonies and tasting sessions, while Yidege, leveraging its ink-making techniques, presented traditional Chinese calligraphic works and offered visitors chances to experience brass rubbing.
Visitors were treated to a comprehensive exhibition of Beijing's time-honored brands at one stop. An online platform for direct sales of products of Beijing state-owned enterprises, with 55 time-honored brands from Beijing, was also launched. Centered around the Central Axis, this platform took viewers from around the globe on virtual trips around Qianmen Pedestrian Street and various stores of time-honored brands through live-streaming sessions conducted on a cable bus (known as "dang-dang bus" in Beijing), showcasing Beijing's time-honored brands at CIIE in a lively way to netizens around the globe.
