Starting from December 7, Air Canada plans to increase the number of its weekly round-trip flights between Vancouver and Shanghai from four to seven. The company will also resume the operation of seven weekly round-trip direct flights between Vancouver and Beijing on January 15, 2025. Moreover, Chinese airlines are now expediting their applications for additional flights as well.
It is reported that after multiple rounds of consultations between the civil aviation authorities of China and Canada, Chinese and Canadian airlines have officially launched plans to increase direct flights. The increase in the frequency of direct flights by the two sides will help meet the needs of people and trade between the two countries and contribute to the further recovery of the China-Canada air transport market.
