From late October to mid-November, two ancient ginkgo trees at the museum, each over 600 years old, are at their peak viewing periods. To mark the occasion, the museum has launched a series of activities centered around its ginkgo-viewing festival.

On October 29, the "2024 Xinghao Youni" (which literally means "better to be with you") creative market opened. Over 10 cultural institutions and museums, including Beijing Ancient Architecture Museum and Dazhong Temple Ancient Bell Museum, have brought their unique cultural products. The market will last for a week.

Beijing Olympic Forest Park
In late autumn, the ginkgo forest at the south gate of the south park of Beijing Olympic Forest Park and the ginkgo leaves throughout the park have donned a vibrant yellow, all entering their peak viewing periods.

Ginkgo Avenue in Sanlitun

Walking northward along Sanlitun Road to its intersection with Dongzhimen Outer Street, you will see ginkgo trees lining the road have quietly changed color, with their leaves forming a golden sea.
Right now, the ginkgo trees along this "Gingko Avenue" are still changing color and are expected to reach their peak viewing period from early to mid-November.

Dongba Country Park

Dongba Country Park is home to over 6,000 ginkgo trees. At present, the ginkgo forest in its southern area has almost entirely put on a golden hue, exuding a rich ambiance of late autumn.

Hongluo Temple
Hongluo Temple is also in its prime leaf-viewing season. An enchanting view has unfolded, with gorgeous colorful foliage coating the foot of the mountain nearby and red maple forests adorning the mountain top with green pine and cypress trees.

Yinshan Pagoda Forest Scenic Area

As autumn deepens, in Yinshan Pagoda Forest Scenic Area in Changping District, the ancient towers built about 1,000 years ago during the Liao Dynasty have been complemented by the ginkgo trees nearby, adding a dazzling seasonal touch to the scenic area.
