During the National Day holiday (October 1-7), Beijing's exit-entry ports witnessed a high volume of inbound and outbound trips, which maintained a stable and upward trend. According to the statistics of the Beijing General Station of Exit and Entry Frontier Inspection, from October 1 to 7, Beijing's exit-entry ports inspected more than 375,000 inbound and outbound trips made by individuals, marking a 42.8-percent rise year-on-year, as well as nearly 2,300 exits and entries by border-crossing vehicles, representing a 45.4-percent year-on-year surge.
The data of the exits and entries of the residents of the Chinese mainland reveals that over 292,000 trips were made via Beijing's ports, up by 37.1 percent year on year, accounting for nearly 80 percent of the total inbound and outbound volume at Beijing's ports.
Countries such as Japan, the Republic of Korea and Thailand, and regions including Hong Kong SAR were more favored than other destinations for the outbound travelers of the Chinese mainland.
Compared with previous years, the inbound foreign traffic volume has also increased significantly. From October 1 to 7, Beijing's ports saw over 36,000 foreign arrivals, nearly twice the number recorded during the same period last year. This surge was largely driven by visitors from countries such as Germany, the Republic of Korea, Russia and the United States.
