Former US Open champion Bianca Andreescu and former French Open semifinalist Martina Trevisan will appear in the women's qualifying singles on September 23 and 24. The men's qualifying singles, commencing on September 24, will feature Fabio Fognini and Roberto Bautista Agut, both famous players once ranked top ten in the world. On the open days, the main draws for both the Women's Tennis Association (WTA) and the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) will also be revealed, with the draw taking place at the National Tennis Center’s Red Clay Garden, which will be open to the public for the first time during the tournament period. Fans are welcome to attend and witness this event. Last year, Jannik Sinner, the world's No.1 tennis player, participated in the men's singles draw, where he showcased his Chinese language for the first time.

Men's and women's singles will kick off on September 25 and 26, respectively. Top players typically arrive earlier to adapt to the courts. In the early morning of September 19, Naomi Osaka, the 2019 China Open champion and former world No. 1, arrived in Beijing. She became the first international player to reach the city for preparations. Fans with pre-sale tickets for the training sessions on the Diamond Court must link their tickets with their identity information one day before entry. Additionally, fans are required to present their tickets for entry 30 minutes before the training begins. Seating will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
