The China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS) 2024 commenced on September 12 at the China National Convention Center and Shougang Park in Beijing, and will run until September 16. The municipal transportation authority has implemented several special measures to facilitate travel during this period.
Between 00:00 on September 7 and 24:00 on September 16, traffic restrictions will be in effect at several road sections in Chaoyang District, with access limited to vehicles and personnel with the badges for CIFTIS 2024. These road sections include a section of Tianchen West Road, stretching from the road's intersections (not included) with Datun Road and National Stadium North Road, which has been closed to traffic in both directions; and a section of Tianchen East Road, stretching between the road's intersections (not included) with Datun Road and National Stadium North Road, which has been closed to southbound traffic. Vehicle and pedestrian detours will follow Beichen West Road, National Stadium North Road, Datun Road, and Beichen East Road.
Between 00:00 on September 12 and 24:00 on September 16, part of Tianchen East Road in Chaoyang District, stretching between the road's intersections with National Stadium North Road and Datun Road, will be closed to northbound traffic. Access will be limited to vehicles and personnel with the badges for CIFTIS 2024. Vehicle and pedestrian detours will follow Beichen West Road, National Stadium North Road, Datun Road, and Beichen East Road.
From the start of service on September 7 until the end of service on September 17, Buses No. 992, Special 108, and Special 218 heading westward will not stop at Shougang Shiyanchang Station. Passengers are advised to plan their trips accordingly.
To effectively allocate transportation resources in response to the expected increase in passenger flows during morning and evening rush hours, Subway Line 8 will increase transportation capacity as needed. Additional taxi pickup points will also be set up around the two exhibition areas in accordance with daily peak visitor numbers.
