With September comes the end of summer, the beginning of the school year, of autumn, and perhaps even a chance for new beginnings. September is one of the biggest times for new arrivals – be they students or graduates – to come to China. And there's an upcoming event where they can connect to people and services to make themselves at home in the capital and surrounding region.

The 2024 Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei GT²HR Recruitment Fair for Global Talents is that event.

Held in tandem with the China International Fair for Trade in Services (CIFTIS) on Saturday, September 14 at Shougang Park, the GT²HR Fair – short for Global Talents to Human Resources – is a one-stop shop where international students, graduates, and young employees can meet potential employers and find the services they require to get settled in their new home.

Three areas at the conference will seek to accomplish this:

The International Young Talents Reception Area

Those interested in said positions can talk to the employers and submit their resumes on-site. Want to apply sooner? You can also search for job openings and submit your resume online (more on that below).

The International City Experience Services Area

Along with an introduction to the city's online portal and its ten-language system, as well as the chance to connect with representatives from the Beijing Global Network for Innovation Services (GNIS), there will be a number of other means to get settled in the capital. These include answers to legal questions from well-known law firms, consultation on policy for work permits and residence permits, and on-site services provided by FESCO, Ctrip, and ChinesePlus.

Introduction to Policies for Professionals & Students

In this area, fair visitors will have the chance to get an in-depth look into policies like the "Study in Beijing+" policy and an explanation of work permit policy for foreigners in China. On a wider scope, this area will introduce internships, jobs, and visas for international students in the region; as well as an interpretation of the capital's international business environment and investment promotion policies.
