Starting from August 5, the optimized taxi dispatch station at the North Hub of Beijing South Railway Station has entered its trial operation phase. The drop-off area of the original North Hub taxi dispatch station has been moved to the east side of the north entrance, and the pick-up area of the Beijing South Railway Station has been relocated to the A and B channels inside the North Hub Bus Terminal. Only access A is open during the trial operation.

It is reported that after the adjustment, passengers can wait for taxis inside the hall and board under sheltered channels that protect them from harsh weather conditions. Additionally, this dispatch station no longer requires security checks, making it more convenient for passengers.

Arriving passengers can exit from the underground floor of Beijing South Railway Station and head directly north into the bus transfer hall. From there, they can take the escalator on the left front (the first escalator) to reach the waiting area of the North Hub taxi dispatch station. Prior to the trial operation, signages were installed along the driving and passenger flow lines to provide guidance. During the trial phase, ten staff members have been arranged at key points to guide passengers and drivers, ensuring they reach the dispatch station smoothly.

Currently, there are three taxi dispatch stations at Beijing South Railway Station: on the east and west sides of the underground floor of the South Station, and at the A and B channels of the North Square bus hub. The east and west underground taxi dispatch stations are located near the exits and tend to have longer lines. In contrast, the North Hub taxi dispatch station has more taxis and fewer passengers, making it a convenient option for travelers to catch a taxi and leave the station.
