From June 14 to 16, the "Coordinating Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Region - Riding to Future" 2024 Most Beautiful Grassland Endurance Cycling Challenge took place. As one of the events celebrating the 10th anniversary of the coordinated development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, the event was held by Shijingshan District Sports Federation, with 150 cyclists from Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei, and Inner Mongolia taking part in the challenge.

The first section was a 30-kilometer-long ride around Duolun Lake, passing through the grassland of Zhenglan Banner and the Site of Xanadu (the summer capital of the Yuan Dynasty (1271-1368), which is also known as "Shangdu"). For the second section, cyclists departed from Duolun Lake, rode for 80 kilometers to the Yudaokou region, passed along Guojia No.1 Scenic Boulevard, headed to Saihanba Mechanical Forest Farm in Hebei, and visited Saihanba Exhibition Hall. The cyclists said that they fully enjoyed the magnificent scenic views during the challenge, and that they hoped that they could participate in the next session.

In recent years, Shijingshan District has launched a fitness campaign on a large scale and established several brand events for cyclists. As one of the events celebrating the 10th anniversary of the coordinated development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, this cyclist challenge not only created opportunities for the cycling enthusiasts to communicate and exchange, but also efficiently promoted the communication between Shijingshan District and Hebei Province, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, and Tianjin Municipality in terms of sports-related efforts. All parties involved in this event took the occasion to share opportunities, discuss development approaches, and efficiently integrate resources. The event also contributed to Shijingshan District's growth powered by the local cultural, commercial, tourism and sports sectors.
