As the weather warms up and spring flowers start to bloom, five municipal parks in Beijing, namely the Summer Palace, Beihai Park, Yuyuantan Park, Zizhuyuan Park and Taoranting Park, usher in the season with the reopening of their cruise services starting from March 16.
According to the Beijing Municipal Administration Center of Parks, these five municipal parks have set afloat over 1,700 boats, ranging from large to small, including hand rowing boats, pedal boats, electric boats, painted boats, and dragon-shaped boats, tailored to meet the diverse needs of tourists. Furthermore, cruise lines to the Summer Palace and Beihai Park are fully operational, offering visitors a unique experience to enjoy the blossoming flowers during a delightful spring outing.
Different from the previous years, all these parks have introduced a cutting-edge 5G intelligent management system for cruise ships this year. This initiative promises to deliver faster and more convenient services for boat tourists. Equipped with advanced features, including one-click purchase through QR codes, online deposit payments, online queuing, self-service number calling, QR code activation, automatic QR code settlement, precise rescue protocols, self-service purchase through QR codes, self-service line verification, and other functionalities, all small cruise ships are geared towards enhancing the boating experience and streamlining procedures for visitors.
For example, during peak days, rather than having the entire family waiting in long lines, only one member is needed to scan the QR code, select a dock and cruise ship, and enter the mobile phone number to board the boat when their turn arises.
If there are others waiting in line, tourists will receive a text message on their phones notifying them of the queue status. Meanwhile, accompanying relatives and friends can enjoy a stroll around the park while waiting for the ship's availability. Upon disembarkation, tourists can simply scan the QR code to finalise their duration, request a refund if necessary, and check out directly, thus eliminating the need to visit the ticket office at the terminal for ticket returns.
