The celebration of the Spring Festival is in full swing at the International Grape Exhibition Garden in Yanqing District.

As the Spring Festival draws near, Yanqing, known as the "Most Beautiful Winter Olympic District", will launch various special cultural and tourism activities to celebrate the upcoming Chinese New Year.

During the upcoming Spring Festival, night tours at the Badaling section of the Great Wall (also known as the "Badaling Great Wall") will once again be available to visitors. Additionally, several immersive tour packages for the extension of the south section of the Badaling Great Wall will be unveiled one by one, offering fresh experiences for visitors. Performances featuring intangible cultural heritage items such as the Lion Dance, Yangko (also known as "Yangge") Dance, and Land Boat Dance will also be presented during the night tours at the Badaling Great Wall.

Visitors to Beijing Expo Park can enjoy a variety of activities, including viewing stunning lanterns and experiencing ice cars, ice fishing, and snow slides, among others. Additionally, they can try local specialties such as Yanqing's huoshao, a type of flatbread, and participate in making intangible cultural heritage handicrafts like tiger-head shoes, Yanqing lanterns, and more. Visitors can also watch troupe performances featuring outstanding intangible cultural heritage items, such as the Dragon Dance from Shifosi Village.

The alpine skiing and several other events of the 14th National Winter Games will take place at Haituo Mountain in Yanqing Olympic Zone. Free admission will be provided by the zone, allowing tourists and skiing enthusiasts to experience the same snow tracks used during the Winter Olympics in 2022.

The 38th Longqing Gorge Ice Lantern Festival is currently underway and will continue until after the Spring Festival. This year's festival features new attractions such as the Glacier Gorge Paradise and a special drone air show. In addition, visitors can enjoy intangible cultural heritage performances and variety shows for a delightful ice and snow experience.

The northern mountainous area of Yanqing is home to several winter sports venues, including Vanke Shijinglong Ski Resort, Yudu Mountain Ice and Snow World, the icefall in Yunpugou Scenic Area, and the Ice and Snow World in the International Grape Exhibition Garden. These venues will offer a variety of snow and ice activities throughout the season. Additionally, themed cultural and tourism events such as the Happy Ice and Snow Season at Duijiushi Scenic Area and the Hot Pot on Ice at Yeya Lake will provide tourists with unusual outdoor experiences in winter.
