Recently, Shougang Park's No.1 Blast Furnace - SoReal Science Fiction Paradise ("SoReal") was unveiled as the "Qitian Spaceship", making its official entry into the internal testing phase. It is expected to open to the public around the Spring Festival 2024.

The No. 1 Blast Furnace, located in the Jin'an Science Fiction Plaza in the northern area of Shougang Park, stands apart from the park's popular tourist attraction, the No.3 Blast Furnace by Qunminghu Street. Now, as the world's first fully immersive sci-fi complex created jointly by Shougang Group and Beijing Sky Limit Entertainment Group Co., Ltd (hereinafter referred to as "Sky Limit"), SoReal could meet the public demands for culture, technology, entertainment, and consumption, utilizing 5G + XR technology to rejuvenate this century-old cultural heritage site.

Centered around Chinese sci-fi narratives, SoReal integrates a wide array of cutting-edge innovative technologies such as 5G, cloud computing, AR, VR, MR, AI, digital twins, large-scale spatial positioning, holographic imaging, and 3D projection. It combines cultural art, science popularization and education, technological experiences, exchanges and exhibitions, leisure entertainment, catering, and shopping, creating immersive cultural tourism experiences and injecting fresh vitality into Shougang Park and western Beijing.

Inside the venue, 33META CLUB Future Space serves as a multifunctional complex that combines cultural exhibitions, event releases, e-sports competitions, performance and art shows, and music bars. The design maximally retains the original architectural structure and industrial style of Shougang's century-old blast furnace. Building upon its original 33-meter high structure, the space fuses cyberpunk design elements, modern lighting and stage effects, as well as XR-powered immersive experience to reimagine this industrial heritage site.

According to the head of Sky Limit, the science popularization and research-based learning routes are the experience products promoted during the trial operation of SoReal. With the grand opening scheduled for the Spring Festival 2024, more cultural and tourism routes will be launched successively.
