Opening Ceremony of 10th Edition of National Public Ice and Snow Season Held at Big Air Shougang
Recently, the opening ceremony of the 10th Edition of National Public Ice and Snow Season was held at Big Air Shougang, Shijingshan District, one of the Beijing 2022 venues. At the same time, six sub-venues in Tianjin, Hebei, Jilin, Heilongjiang, Shanghai, Hubei, and across the country fired the starting gun of ice and snow season.
Meanwhile, multiple activities took place at the speed skating venue of Shougang Park, such as the open class "Learn Skating with Olympic Champions", the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Youth Figure Skating Invitational Tournament, and the 10-year Achievements Exhibition of the National Public Ice and Snow Season. These activities demonstrate the development of winter sports among the general public.
The Ice and Snow Season for 2023 is jointly hosted by General Administration of Sport of China (GASC) and the People's Government of Beijing Municipality, and organized by the Winter Sports Management Center of GASC, Beijing Municipal Bureau of Sports, Shijingshan District People's Government of Beijing Municipality, and Shougang Group. Nearly 2,000 diverse, fun, and people-benefiting ice and snow events are holding across the country during the ice and snow season, according to preliminary statistics.
The Ice and Snow Carnival of Shijingshan District also kicked off on the same day. Citizens enjoyed the ice and snow sports after the opening ceremony, fully experiencing the charm of ice and snow.
