The north section of Beijing Subway's Line 17 is expected to open by the end of 2023. Passengers travelling from Weilaikexuecheng Bei (Future Science City North) Station will be able reach Gongren Tiyuchang Station in just 31 minutes, thereby alleviating pressure on traffic around Huilongguan-Tiantongyuan area in Changping District.

Taiyanggong Station will be equipped with intelligent robots after its opening. These robots will assist passengers in findingspecific locations within the station, answer common travel-related questions, and provide information about the layout of the station and its surrounding blocks.

Signs within the stations on the north section of Line 17 have been enlarged to make them more noticeable.
