The number of subway passengers in Beijing has steadily risen this year. Currently, the top six subway routes in Beijing in terms of daily average traffic are Line 10, Line 4 to Daxing Line, Line 1 to Batong Line, Line 6, Line 5, and Line 14. Among them, Line 10 alone accommodates a staggering 1.34 million daily trips made by passengers.
Beijing South Railway Station, Beijing West Railway Station, Guomao, Xizhi Men, Dawang Lu, Xi'erqi, Chaoyang Men, Caoqiao, Tiantongyuan Bei (N), and Dongzhi Men are the top ten stations with the highest volumes of average daily passenger entries on weekdays, with the maximum volume reaching 100,000.
Over the past three years, Beijing Subway has increased its transportation capacity, relieving the peak congestion compared to 2019. This year, only four subway lines in Beijing experienced a maximum total load rate exceeding 100 percent during morning rush hours, namely Line 4 to Daxing Line, Line 10, Line 5, and Line 15. Furthermore, the number of stations implementing regular passenger flow controls has been reduced significantly from 91 in 2019 to just five. These stations are Tiantongyuan Bei (N) and Tiantongyuan on Line 5, Jinsong and Panjia Yuan on Line 10, and Shahe on Changping Line.
