As of November 10, the mutual visa exemption agreement between China and Kazakhstan has officially come into effect.

In accordance with the agreement, Chinese citizens holding service passports, ordinary passports or travel documents, as well as Kazakhstani citizens holding ordinary passports and certificates of return, are exempt from the requirement of visa issuance when entering, exiting or transiting through the territory of the other side for private affairs, business activities (including negotiation, contracting, consulting service, and other business purposes), travel, medical treatment, international transportation or transit reasons. The visa exemption permits a single stay of up to 30 days and a cumulative stay of no more than 90 days in every 180 days, commencing from the date of their entry. Individuals who do not qualify under the aforementioned categories or exceed the time constraints are obligated to obtain the corresponding visas before entering the territory of the other country.
