On October 23, the Beijing Daxing International Airport Terminal staged a special performance for the Chongyang Festival, also known as the "Double Ninth" Festival. Over the years, Daxing Airport has launched various elderly-friendly services tailored for its senior travelers.
Daxing Airport's new initiative, "Xing Xin Xiangyin" offers a free suite of services for passengers aged 60 and above. This covers everything from the terminal entrance to the boarding gate, including perks like baggage assistance, wheelchair services, and electric cart transport. Throughout the terminal, seniors can pick up yellow wristbands from a number of courtesy service boxes, with which the staff would give special attention and assistance during check-in, security check, boarding, etc.
Within the security areas, seniors can also approach the concourse caretakers, easily identifiable in their yellow uniforms adorned with a red ribbon. These caretakers are on hand to offer an array of services, from medical kits to general assistance. These caretakers make rounds at night, ensuring senior travelers stay overnight are cozy with warm blankets.
Both "Xing Xin Xiangyin" and "Dialects Accompanying" services need to be booked in advance, and senior travelers can register and reserve by the following ways:
