On September 26, the "Powered by Nature - Powering the Future" Science and Art Exhibition was launched in the temporary exhibition hall of the National Natural History Museum of China. The exhibition displayed 42 specimens from the museum's collection, as well as eco-friendly artworks such as China's first spherical installation formed by mycelium, a kind of carbon-negative materials, through 3D painting, and the 3D-printed future-style furniture made of materials from waste seaweed.

The artwork is made of bio-plastic while the mycelium helps break down the plastic. In the coming decades, this 3D-printed artwork will be decomposed by mycelium, creating a new ecological environment.

The "Climate Change" series of artworks by Alisa Singer is also on display, including more than 100 paintings based on climate-related data charts, maps, texts and numbers, conveying the scientific knowledge related to climate change to the public.
