To celebrate the 170th anniversary of its establishment, Neiliansheng Shoe Shop, a time-honored brand in Xicheng District, plans to fully renovate the intangible cultural heritage exhibition hall on the third floor of its main store in Dashilan and convert it into a museum named "Beijing Cloth Shoes Culture Museum". This museum will feature the inheritance and innovation of cloth shoes as a wearable intangible cultural heritage item and offer amusing experiences for visitors.

The shoe shop has also started to collect exhibits from the public recently. These include written materials, pictures, audio-visual materials and physical objects that are closely related to the traditional Beijing-style cloth shoes, which have significant historical value and serve as inanimate witnesses of the Chinese cloth shoe culture.

Following its renovation, the exhibition hall will be renamed "Beijing Cloth Shoe Culture Museum". It will become a symbol of the culture of the cloth shoes industry rather than merely a brand venue of Neiliansheng and add a new museum dedicated to a time-honored intangible cultural heritage item to the Central Axis of Beijing.
